Joan Hannan Obituary
Joan "Joanie" Hannan, 90, of Fremont, died at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, NE on May 20, 2024.
Joanie is survived by daughter, Kathleen (Dean) Kampschneider of Fremont; sons, Stephen (friend Rose Tran) of Omaha, Mark (Laurie) of Ben Wheeler, Texas, Charles (Debbie) of Waxahachie, Texas, Thomas of Omaha and Matthew (Lori) of Fremont; special friend, Kelly (Dan) Dailey of Wahoo.
Joanie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 1997.
VISITATION at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Fremont, NE on Tuesday, May 28, with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m. A ROSARY will be recited at 7 p.m. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIALwill be Wednesday, May 29, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont, Nebraska, lunch will follow the service. PRIVATE BURIAL will be in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Care Corps Life House both of Fremont and the Siena Francis House in Omaha.

My dad and Ed were Army buddies in Korea and mom and Joanie became friends. I have fond childhood memories of visiting the farm and doing all the fun farm things. Feeding calfs, collecting eggs and lightning bugs ..... The Hannan home was full of children and love

She was truly a great friend and an inspiration to several in the Friday morning Al-Anon group. I loved her insight and encouraging words, which always gave me hope.
