Jordan Rishel Obituary

Rishel, Jordan Anne

August 1, 1978 - December 28, 2023

Jordan Anne Rishel, age 45, of Blair, NE, formerly of Clinton, NY, passed away December 28, 2023.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 10 a.m., at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, in Blair. A VISITATION will be held January 3, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Campbell Aman Funeral Home, in Blair.

Jordan was born August 1, 1978, in Utica, NY, the daughter of James and Jan Rishel. She was raised in Clinton, and attended and graduated from Clinton High School. Jordan moved to Nebraska in 1998 to pursue figure skating. She most recently served as the Executive Director of the Washington County Community Foundation, before that she was the Executive Director of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. Jordan was active in the community as a member of the Washington County Board of Supervisors, the Blair Optimist Club and the Blair Rotary Club. She loved teaching young hockey players how to skate.

Jordan is survived by her children, Hudson K. Dilworth and Brooklyn S. Dilworth, who were her everything; the love of her life, Scott Givens; parents, James and Jan Rishel; brothers, Justin (Audrey) Rishel, of Clinton, Jared (Nicola) Rishel, of Seminole, FL, and Jay (Meghan) Rishel, of Trent Woods, NC; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Washington County Community Foundation in Jordan's name.

Jim and I are heartbroken about this news. Jim remembers driving Jordan and his sister Bridgett to school. He remembers Jordan as being so sweet. When I taught Jordan, I remember her as a kind, loving person who got along with everyone. Her smile would light up the room. And her athletic abilities were amazing. Loved watching her skate in the Ice Show. May God shine his light on your hearts to help ease your pain.
