Kirk Hanson Obituary
February 20, 1956 - November 30, 2023
Kirk Hanson passed away on November 30, 2023 after a thirteen year battle with cancer. He was 67 years old. Kirk was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Jean Hanson and grandparents Mike and Fern Smith. He is survived by his wife Rhonda Hanson, son Kirk Hanson Jr., daughter Amber Olson and her husband Justin and son Erik Hanson. Grandchildren, Max and Kal Hanson and Laken and Oaklee Olson and his loyal dog Trixie.
A private family service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 FROM 3 to 7 p.m. at the Countryside Venue located at 30030 Reichmuth Rd, Valley, NE.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers people can donate to the Nebraska Humane Society in his memory so that the animals that Kirked loved can be cared for.

Kirk brought so much joy to our family. We spent many days at Ginger Cove with Kirk and Jean and Jerry.

I'm really going to miss seeing Kirk around the lake. In the boat, on the tiki bar, toodling around in the golf cart. He was one of those people who made me feel like he was always damn glad to see me. I'm sorry for all of you. He was one of a kind.

Rhonda, I´m sorry for you and your family´s loss. I worked with the "Big Swede" at Fantasy´s. He was always a pleasure to see and hear with that laugh and gig smile of his. Kirk´s family was his pride and joy and it showed. He will be missed.
