Morien Bren Obituary
Age 86 - Aug 20, 2009
Passed away in Kalamazoo, MI. He was a deeply loved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, co-worker, and friend who devoted his life to enriching those around him. Morey retired from Woodmen of the World in 1991 and had very fond memories of his time working there. He was preceded in death by his father Stephen Bren; mother Sophia Bren; brother Don Bren. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Bren; daughter Sherry Mattingly and her husband Denny; daughter Sue Liberty and her husband Girard; son Gary Bren and his wife Gretchen; as well as three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A private celebration in Omaha of his life will be announced at a later date, but memorials can be offered to the Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Midlands Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. My deepest sympathy to Morey's "beloved Jean", children and grandchildren.
I have very fond memories of Morey as he was a friend and co-worker to my late husband.
When one thinks of Morey they have to smile. He was a man with many solutions. No matter what the problem or situation, Morey could always come up with the best way to handle it. He was always pleasant, fair and was greatly missed by the Field Force after he retired. Maybe right now he is enjoying the company of those friends who have passed on. I hope so.

Morein was my supervisor at one time and was always helpful. He was a gentleman and had a grasp of always knowing what he did mattered. He did a good job for Woodmen of the World for many years. Steve haack

My wife, Nancy, our son, Benjamin, and I all wish to convey our most sincere condolences to the Bren family.
Morey Bren was a good man and a true gentleman. Together with Jean, he gave his children a strong foundation that has served them well. I am proud to call his son, Gary, my best friend. I know that Mr. Bren (always Mr. Bren to me) will live on in the legacy of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He shall be missed by all.
