Carl Origlio Obituary
A son of Basil and Clara Favazza Origlio, he was born in Oneida on Sept. 17, 1935. Kelly graduated from Oneida High School, Class of 1953. He married Jane Miner on Sept. 6, 1958 at St. Patrick's Church.
Kelly served in the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard and was activated to Europe during the Berlin Crisis. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus E. Bart Hanifin Council No. 473, an avid fan of the Yankees and Notre Dame, and was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed his granddaughters' athletic events.
Surviving are his wife, Jane; his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Robert Roberts of Oneida; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul F. Origlio and Brian C. and Anne Origlio, all of Oneida; his sister and brother-in-law, Angelina and Samuel Giancola of Auburn; his brother and sisters-in-law, Ben and Anne Origlio of Oneida and Theresa Ariglio of Sherrill; three granddaughters, Madeline, Elizabeth, and Grace Roberts; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by three sisters, Mary Cappaletti, Carmella Malone, and Marion Artessa; and four brothers, Joseph Origlio, Thomas Origlio, Basil Ariglio, and Francis Origlio.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida and 10 a.m. Thursday from St. Joseph's Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Richard Kapral, pastor. Interment will be made in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. Contributions, in his memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 7, 6725 Lyons St., E. What a shock this is. I just saw him about a month ago. I live in NH and was visiting Oneida and paid him a visit. Sure glad I did. He will surely be missed. We were in high school together.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Origlio family. I remember when I first met him years ago, I called him Carl and he quickly corrected me and said everyone calls me Uncle Kelly. He was the nicest man and always shared a smile. He is at peace now and probably sharing a laugh with my husband.
