John Michael Cossette

VERONA-John Michael Cossette, 65, of E. Main Street, passed away on Sunday, September 26th, 2021, in Oneida Health surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness.Born in Rome, NY on May 8, 1956, he was the son of Edward and Amy (Nagao) Cossette. John married Natividad (Naty) Talaga at Our Lady of Good Counsel, on April 8, 1997.He was a graduate of VVS High School and Mohawk Valley Community College. John was employed by ParTech, General Electric and most recently by Turning Stone Casino.John had a great love of music. He enjoyed playing guitar and electric keyboard. John recorded his own music and enjoyed sharing it with his family and friends. He also enjoyed antiquing and collecting knickknacks. John was a long-time communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel.Surviving besides his wife of 24 years, Naty, are his only daughter, Athena; his father, Edward Cossette of Oneida; his brother, Andrew (Kelley) Cossette of Sherrill; his sister Kathleen (Keith) Hudson of Oneida; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his mother Amy Cossette.Funeral services will be 10 AM, Friday from Our Lady of Good Counsel, Verona, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Edmund Castronovo, pastor. Interment will be made in Verona Cemetery. Friends may call at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, 4-7 PM, Thursday.
