He blew the "metalhead stereotype" right out of the water. He was such a sweet loving guy. He loved animals and nature and expressed his emotions and his thoughts through his music. He was truly one of the greatest musicians of his time.

Lolli will always be remembered as a loving person. She loved her niece and nephews very much. Lolli was always a very nice person to be around. My deepest sympathy for her family. May God be with Lolli and comfort her family during these times of grief.

I'm from Brazil and the album Scream Bloody Gore from Death is one of my all time favorites. I heard it so many times that I have all the songs inside my head. Just learned that Chuck passed away and it was sad. Hope he is in a better place. His lyrics were all about nasty things, but they always brought me peace of mind, something hard to explain, but magical. I am 35 years old and the first time I've heard was in 1989. I'm hearing it right now, while I write this words.

Its Sickening to know that a man like Chuck Had Died on my 11th Birthday while I was enjoying the company of my family, and I shall forever pray for peace amongst his family and friends as they live on. Chuck Was My musical Inspiration, and my music would have never been what it is today if it werent for his existence. Although I never had the chance of meeting him personally i know that the world has not only lost a great musician, but a great excuse for a Man as well.

I was lucky enough to see you live a few times, once in winter park at the f.b.i symbolic album release party ( the whole band signed everrything i brought..thanks!!) and the gig of course called the death for life benefit for multiple sclerosis..uber cool of you for doing a benefit for ppl with this horrible disease..you deserve extra thanks for that!!! And, from what i know, the very last death gig ever in atlanta ga with hammerfall.I will never forget it!!! Chuck you were an amazing talent and will be sorely missed!! Chuck, you were truly an inspiration to me. I lost my mother to cancer at the age of 16, and metal was my refuge to help me through the difficult times. Although I discovered the true talent of your band Death after you lost your battle, nonetheless your music will live on with those of us who treasure it forever. I have spread your musical word to many others, and each and every one of them have been amazed at your unbelievable talent just as I have.

My thoughts are with the Shuldiners this time of year every year. Sadly, I never got to see Death live but Chuck's music is timeless. I've grown up and out of many bands I've listened to over the years but Death music is more satisfying and the lyrics are wiser than ever. Thanks ,Chuck ,for creating some of the most inspiring music ever created.

I know it's a common thing to say, but Chuck's music has meant so much to me over the amount of time I have listened to it. It has changed my whole outlook on what can be done with extreme music, and how poetic lyrics can be. Chuck was truly an innovator, a visionary, and a great man. He will never be forgotten, and his importance in the world will never wane.
