Dereck Parker Obituary

PARKER, DERECK S., 15, Hyacinth Dr., Orlando, died on Sunday, April 23, 2006. He was a student at Olympia High School and a member of the Titans Football team. He is survived by his loving parents, Pamela and Rena Parker; sister, Kristal and brother, Rene; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Neal; paternal grandfather, Rena Parker Sr. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 28, 2006 at 11AM at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 4851 S. Apopka-Vineland Rd., Orlando with Rev. David Long, officiating. The family will receive friends from 10AM until the services Friday at the church. POSTELL'S MORTUARY, Pine Hills Chapel, Orlando.

Derek Parker who I Knew as Bo was a great man, and i mean man at 15. Quiet smart humble and knew what he wanted and had a plan to get it, much more than a dreamer, but a go getter. A very talented individual in everything ive seen him do. The biggest 15 year old i know with the biggest heart to match. I feal for the family and my heart goes out to them. But he is now in a place more laced than any millionaire lives at. I hope to see you at the pearly gates Bo!!!!

It is incredible how Derek has touched so many lives of so many people. He had a major impact on kids and adults and still does to this very moment. His smile alone was uplifting. Although Derek is still alive in so many ways through so many different people, he will truly be missed here on earth. With love.
