Henry Dawson Obituary

DAWSON, JR., HENRY A., of Orlando, died on Saturday, February 12, 2005. He was born in Rocky Mount, NC. He was a dedicated member of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Orlando. He retired as Executive Director of the Springfield Girls' Club Family in Springfield, MA after 23 years of service. Veteran of the US Army and US Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary W. Dawson of Orlando; two daughters, Arlene Dawson Banks (Robert L.) of Princeton Junction, NJ, Bernice Dawson of Apopka, two grandsons, Christopher and Darrien Banks of Princeton Junction, NJ; two sisters, Theresa Dawson Campbell (Howard) of Hamlet, NC and Esther Dawson McPhail, Griffen, GA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 11AM at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, 1000 Bethune Drive, Orlando, with Father Ralston Nembhart officiating. Visitation Thursday, February 17, 2005, 4-8PM, at the mortuary with a family wake from 6-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Vitas-Hospice Care, Manor Care, 2075 Loch Lomond Drive, WP, FL 32792. POSTELL'S MORTUARY Pine Hills Chapel, Orlando.

My condolsecenes go out to the Dawson Family. I went to the Boys and Girls Club for many years while Mr. Dawson was the Director. Then he was a hard man on us girls but looking back at that now he was one of the people I can say help make me who I am today.I will miss him but I will never forget him.
