Joseph D'Agostino Obituary

Mass of the Resurrection for Joseph F. D'Agostino, II, 69, North Peninsula Drive, New Smyrna Beach, FL who died December 25, 2001 will be conducted 11 AM, Monday, December 31 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Winter Park with The Rev. Patrick O'Neill officiating. Committal will be in Palm Cemetery Winter Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4PM at Baldwin Memorial Chapel, North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach and at the church 10AM, Monday. Joe came to New Smyrna Beach from the Orlando area in 1997. He and his family were co-owners of the Villa Nova Restaurant in Winter Park until retirement. He served in the US Marine Corps and played football on the Pearl Harbor Marine Corps League. He was All American Defensive Nose Guard at University of Florida 1951-53 and is in the UF Athletic Hall of Fame. He is survived by twin sister, Anna Belitz of New Smyrna Beach; sisters, Jeanne Rodriguez of Orlando, Florence Ross of Cashiers, NC; brother Tony D' Agostino of Dunellon; nieces and nephews, Mark and John Rodriguez, Toni Lyn Moon, Mike and Patrick D'Agostino, Cheryl Jorjorian, Brad and David Cox, Judy Earnest, Jeff and Gregory Belitz, Jeri Ann McCauley; great nephews and great nieces, Jordan, Jared, Jenna, Jillian, Rebecca, and Elizabeth Rodriguez; Christopher & Matthew Moon; Sandra D' Agostino; Shane and Travis Ryan; Jake, Brady, Lindsey, Parker, Christina and Stephen Cox; Shawn and Casey Earnest; Julianna and Jeffrey Nicholas Belitz, Jr.; Dougals, Joseph, Aaron, Mark Thomas and Brianna McCauley. Memorials are requested to Shand's Teaching Hospital Foundation, 1600 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32610. To the memory of my beloved Uncle Joey, what a blessing you have been to all of us and what a lifetime of precious memories you have left us with.
