Three years have gone by and I still think of my little sister every day and sometimes the tears come too. She was my closest friend growing up. We shared a room until I left for college. She was always there for me and I miss her terribly. In this picture, Kate is holding our little brother. All three of these siblings are gone - Mary, Kate, and Little Bill. I often wonder how I got so lucky to be the one still enjoying life. And because none of these siblings got to enjoy growing old, I celebrate each day and never lament the gift of another birthday.

Thanks to all the friends who have expressed condolences here. I know Kate would have been so touched to be remembered by so many friends from the past and from every phase of her life. You all have been so kind.
