Dear Dennis and the entire Parker/Belz Family,

Understanding the hole left behind, regardless the inevitability or forewarning, pray this helps some wee bit...to allow...enable…the grief! So truly sorry to hear about your wife/mom… definitely keepin’ y’all in loving prayers! God Bless and hold you all close!

When my mother died, even after a years-long battle with cancer, I was shattered by the loss…inconsolable…she was my mentor! I like to think that I got my character from my father, but my mind and its capacity from m’dear sainted mother!!! BUT, "If your faith assures you she's in heaven, then what are the tears all about?!?" I hold eternity with my Almighty God dearly close...a precious and cherished prize...but, in the interim, that answer lies below.

SELFISH TEARS
(I eulogize my beloved mother - March, 1989)

Today we cry...must admit they're selfish tears.
You see...our faith assures your journey's done.
But it's not for you we mourn, at all, my dear;
It's for those of us you've left behind...alone!!!

We share your joy...share your happiness at rest,
Your painful fears now for forever stilled.
You've fought the good fight, passed the final test,
But you've left behind a hole that can't be filled!!!

So, until we each rejoin you some someday,
And, while your memory buoys us through those years,
We'll miss you...but continue on our way,
And, from time to time, we'll cry our selfish tears!!!

Dear family,
We have lost a true treasure in the loss of my sister. Mar was a light unto everyone she came into contact with. She never mentioned the cancer when she spoke to Tanya in April but that was her way. Linda, Tanya and I will miss her more than you will know. I hope you will continue to keep in touch even though she is gone. Our prayers are with you all. She was so glad you cut your hair Mikey.
Love you,
Aunt Sylvia

Marianne will be missed greatly by so many of us, I'm sure! She had such a unique sense of humor and way of looking at things that could get you laughing even in the most difficult of situations. I remember as a kid, she would make me dance around our basement keeping a straight face and clapping along to keep me going. With her enthusiasm, I didn't dare stop! Her memory and humor will never be gone and will continue to live in each and everyone of us! Our thoughts and prayers are with David, Michael and Dennis! Love Amy Biondo, Joe, Kaeley and Lauren.

Dennis, David and Michael, Marianne and I were the same age. It was nice having someone to laugh with and dream with as a kid. No matter what life delt, Marianne would find a way to get through it and survive with the laughter she had in her heart. She was inspirational in her smile. By the way those bath scenarios are legendary. I remember waiting outside the door and talking the whole time she was in there, because she told me to stay there and do it! LOL...so I did. I also had to make notes on a piece of paper of her ideas. It was very very funny. Love and prayers Susan Doktor (Mueller)

Dennis, David,Michael and family- I am so very sorry to hear of Mariannes death. I always remember her as so very full of life, almost joyful. She dealt with lifes hurdles always with humor. My favorite memory of Marianne was as a little girl of about 11. She was staying overnight at our house and taking a bath. All of us kids were roaring with laughter because the whole time she was in the tub she was pretending she was Cleopatra and singing at the top of her lungs.....CLE.....O.......PATRA, CLE......O......PATRA over and over again so loud that it went thru the door and echoed down the stairs. That was our cousin Marianne (aka Cleopatra)! She was always a huge favorite to have come over and our distance in miles and communication cannot erase those vivid memories of such a wonderful, fun loving, strong and generous spirited person. Small comfort at this time but I know that she is home with our sweet Lord and probably making him chuckle a bit. Your family is in our prayers in this time of such a great loss.
Love and many prayers,
Cousin JoAnn (Mueller) Henninger and the Henninger family
