Richard Robertson Obituary

Robertson, Richard RichRichard Robertson passed away on February 19, 2015 at the age of 58 years young. Thirteen years ago when diagnosed with lung cancer, Richard said, "We can laugh or cry, and I chose to laugh." Richard bypassed everyone's expectations and won the fight. Richard lived his life to the fullest and as he wanted. Richard loved his wife and children, his horses, motorcycles, hunting and bike riding. Richard supported his family, Indian Princess Dances, coached his daughter's Katie sports teams and supported his son, Christopher, in his dreams of horses and becoming a firefighter. Richard was a great uncle who gave the kids many different experiences. Richard and his wife, Tricia, ran their own construction company and built their own home and barn. He worked for many years in the construction industry. Through his life Richard was loved by many especially his wife, Tricia; daughter Katie Campbell (Troy Campbell) and his son Christopher Robertson (Jazmyn). Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Robertson, and his brother, Wayne. Richard had numerous nieces and nephews that dearly loved him. There will be a memorial service of Richard's life at St. Augustine's Catholic Church at 10;30 am Wednesday, February 25th, 2015, in Casselberry Florida. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the M.D. Anderson Lung Cancer Center.

Was just searching around for some old Sun State info and found that Richard was gone. Living in Texas, we didn't even know. Met him when the rink first opened and was on the Speed with him. Wore the orange tee shirts and black shorts. We called him Big'un in those days. Know most of the people in the phote, (Robert Warren), is my wifes brother.
What a good dude. Sure am sorry.

He was always pleasant to talk to and it was always interesting to drive by your place and see what new item Richard had built that week. I've admired that your family has done so many things together and feel Richard's life was one well lived. Feel free to contact me any time if you need anything or just want to talk.

Our thoughts and prayers going out to Tricia, Katie and Christopher. Such sadness when we lose a friend, a husband, a father, and much more....someone who has touched so many lives. Richard was a wonderful person and he will live on in the lives of many. He loved his family, of that I am sure. May God bless you and keep you in this time of sorrow. Sue & Frank

All because of you Mr. RIchard, this girl has a love for horses that won't stop. I think this is how you always saw her, no matter how big she got.

As my daughter's 'second father' (her words), I prayed when he was first diagnosed that God would not take him from us too soon. It is still too soon, but we have been so blessed to have him for as long as we did. He is so missed by all of us. Mr. Richard, every time I drive by your house on my way out of the neighborhood and look for you, think of you, and want to stop and talk just a minute, one more time. You were the example of a real man, father, husband and friend. Rest in peace.
