John Moore Obituary
John A. Moore, age 90, of Midland, passed away on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, at the Medilodge of Midland. John was born the son of Fred and RoseAnna (Murphy) Moore on January 4, 1934, in Midland. John had worked as a supervisor, primarily in the fab shop, and also as a project manager for Dow Chemical. He had a BS in Mechanical Engineering degree from Michigan Tech, and while he was in Michigan's Upper Peninsula he met and married Arline Payne. Arline died on Jan. 13, 1969. He had enjoyed Bowling, Golf, hunting , fishing and traveling the country with his beloved partner Evelyn. They shared a talent for making beautiful pine needle baskets.
John is survived by his children, Scott (Sharon) Moore of Clare, Deb (Tom) Urbaniak of Kansas City, Mo., Grandchildren, Matthew Moore, Amber Price, Brent, Weston, and Jordan Urbaniak, his great-grandchildren, Sydney, Colin, Nathan, Raven, Ibrium, Rowan, Rinnegan, Guage, Remmington, Colt, Aurora, Leilani, and Theo. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Arline Moore, a granddaughter, Brandy, his partner and Special Friend, Evelyn Bernier, his daughter-in-law, Julie Moore, and his siblings, LeRoy, Donald, and Marge.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, 2:00 PM. at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home with family friend, Pastor Larry Moe officiating. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home on Friday from Noon until 2 PM.
