Michael Smalley Obituary

Michael Smalley
Michael L. Smalley, 56, of Midland, passed away at his home on August 10, 2025. He was born December 15, 1968 in Alexandria, VA, son of Joan (Clark) Smalley and the late Howe Leroy Smalley. Michael moved to the Midland area when he was young and attended Bullock Creek Schools from kindergarten through his graduation. He liked almost everything to do with cars, from watching races to working on them and was employed by several towing and recovery agencies over the years. Michael enjoyed the simpler things in life as well. He liked to spend time cooking, camping, listening to music, going for a swim, or just driving around to see the beautiful scenery. Michael had a fondness for children and animals and loved spending time with his family and friends. He seemed to know almost everyone and was willing to help anyone in need. Michael was the most loyal son, brother, uncle, and friend you could ask for.
He is survived by his mother, Joan Smalley; sister, Terri (Smalley) Kriger; nephew, Michael (Beka) Kriger; niece, Michelle Kriger; and great-nephews, Paul and Evan Kriger. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Howe Leroy Smalley.
Cremation has taken place, and private services for family and friends will be set for a future date. All of us at Ware Smith Woolever are honored the Smalley family has entrusted us with the care of their loved one.
