Norma Brawt Obituary

Norma Jean (Denzer) Brawt

Norma Jean (Denzer) Brawt, 73, of Midland, died at the MidMichigan Medical Center on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005.

The daughter of the late Floyd and Bernice "Sally" Caldwell was born on Nov. 24, 1931, in Midland where she was raised and educated. On July 2, 1949, she married Duane Brawt in Midland, and he predeceased her in 1981. Norma had worked as a caregiver for many Midland families. She enjoyed playing cards and volunteered as a Bell Ringer for the Salvation Army for many years.

Norma is survived by her children Linda (Steven) Taylor of Mount Pleasant, Irene (Mike) Bingham of Marathon, Fla., Glenna (Jerry) Stanford of Midland, Helen (Daniel) Ginter of Midland, John Brawt of National City, Susan Sian of Prudenville and David Brawt of Saginaw. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law George Davis of Richmond, Va. She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Lou Davis.

Funeral service and committal will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with Major Byron Medlock, of the Midland Salvation Army, officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials may be offered to the Salvation Army. Private messages of condolence may be left for the family through www.wilson-miller.com.
