Karryl Lee Bachman

1947 - 2024

Karryl peacefully passed away on Saturday January 6, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones in Monterey, Ca.
Karryl was born in Watsonville Ca. on March 29, 1947 to Leonard and Elsie Hopper of Aromas, Ca. Growing up in Aromas she attended Aromas School, Watsonville High School and worked at Marshall's Grocery for over 15 years. She then went on to become an Escrow Officer until her retirement.
Her greatest joy was being Grandma, Grammy, Gram Cracker, and Jamma. She loved supporting and attending all of her grandkids sports games, dance recitals, and color guard performances. She loved her lunch dates, shopping trips, weekend getaways, camping trips, and her Annual Grammy Christmas.
She loved cooking and being the talk of any gathering with her delicious recipes, especially her famous salads and crab fondue. In her free time you could find her volunteering at Salvation Army and in prior years Pat's Place Thrift Shop. With volunteering she created everlasting friendships she truly cherished, especially their monthly luncheons at their favorite Seabrisa's.
Karryl is survived by her son and daughter in law Rod and Jenny Bachman and daughter Trisha Bachman. Grandchildren, Mike (Alli) Maisonneuve, Chelsea (Paul) Gonzalez, Krista (AJ) Rovella, Chad Bachman, Desirae Alvarez, Jordan Bachman, and Kylee Alvarez. Great-Grandchildren Adelle, John Paul, Samuel, and Charlotte Gonzalez, Cash, Chevelle, and Caycen Rovella, Carter Maisonneuve and Isaac Alvarez. Her sister Janice and brother in law Lee Ward, sister Sandy Lynn, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Karryl is preceded in death by her loving husband Butch Bachman, twin brother Darryl Hopper, and parents Leonard and Elsie Hopper.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024 at 11am at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home 870 San Benito St Hollister, Ca 95023. A reception gathering will follow, location to be announced at the time of the service.
