Family-Placed Funeral Notice

ALICE ELIZABETH GERNON “Sally” Age 90 Boynton Beach passed away on December 31, 2006. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years Bruce Gernon Sr. She is survived by her son Bruce Gernon Jr. of Wellington, daughter Suzanne Staton of Seattle, grandchildren Keely Burton of Wellington, Mike Staton and Kelly Staton and great grandchildren Joe and Lilly Staton of Seattle. Sally was a volunteer for hospitals most of her life. In her early life she did volunteer work for Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. She moved to Boynton Beach in 1956 and was one of the first volunteers to be on the Woman's Auxiliary Board at Bethesda Memorial Hospital. She loved to knit and the last volunteer work she did was to knit baby caps for Wellington Regional Hospital. Her final act of volunteerism was to donate her body to the University of Miami School of Medicine and the University of Florida College of Medicine.
