Beth KOHN Obituary
Beth Mahoney Kohn, age 62, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away on January 17, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She handled her illness with great grace and dignity. She was loved by all who knew her, always remembered to congratulate friends and family on life events, and was an exceptional wife, mother, stepmother and grandmother. Beth graduated from Barry College in Miami and worked as a licensed nutritionist for the County Health Department and, most recently, as a renal nutritionist for DaVita, Inc. in Palm Beach Gardens.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Alan Kohn; son, Collin Mahoney and wife, Lisa of New York City; daughter, Kathryn Mahoney Miller and husband, Rob of Huntington, WV; stepson, Brian Mahoney of Waxhaw, NC; sister, Julie Thompson and husband, Ian and nephews, Chris and Grant of Akron, OH; sister, Sarah Marciella and husband, David and nephew, David, Jr. of Orwell, OH; brother, Paul Gephart and wife,Tanya and nephew, Nikolas of Boise, ID; as well as stepdaughter, Jill Kohn Dooley and husband, Patrick and adoring children, Rylan and Asher, and stepson, Gregory Kohn and wife, Jane of Los Angeles, CA. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be scheduled for St. Mark's Church, 3390 Burns Rd, Palm Beach Gardens in February 2016. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to TrustBridge Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407.

I am so sorry to hear of Beth's passing. I recall growing up visiting with the Gephart's in Ohio meeting my cousins and enjoying the fun times. Beth was always so happy and fun to be around. It is so sad to lose someone still at a young age. Our condolences to friends and family.

I am so sorry to hear of Beth's passing. My family is the Pittsburgh connection Gephart. Beth's father and my father were brothers. I last saw Beth at her father's funeral which is several years now. I remember their home in Geneva Ohio and going to spend vacations there as a child. My condolences to your family and to Paul, Sarah and Julie.

To my sister Beth,
Some happy memories were, dressing similar to you or alike while visiting your friends, eating chicken and dumplings at the Ruck's house, painting Easter eggs, or working on a needlepoint project. You were multi- talented when it came to baking cheesecakes made from scratch, fresh blueberries were placed on the top;each berry was lined up strategically, your Christmas ornaments made out of quilting material, etc. Everything looked and tasted good. It was made to perfection and looked like something from the cover of Taste of Home or Better Homes and Gardens magazines. You will be missed.
