a feeling came over me after i didn't hear from her son after texting him. i keep in touch with him mostly at holidays so i checked the post only to learn this very sad news.
as only an aquaintence of the family, knowing what a strong matriarchal family they have, i'm offering my deepest condolences and respect knowing their loss is regrettably going to be so painful after the loss of their cherished mother and life long friend to the community.

My deepest condolences to the family of Ms. Blanche Vrooman. Blanche and I happened to be seated next to each other at a musical performance at Eissey Theatre some years ago. She and I were "toe-tapping" to the music and introduced ourselves during the intermission. Somehow I knew she was a bridge player, and we exchanged names and phone numbers. It wasn't long before I was filling out a foursome with Blanche and her good friends Mary H. and Marjorie B. -- my very own "Golden Girls." What a pleasure to have made an acquaintance, however brief, with this very classy lady. I shall never forget the warmth and kindness she extended to me the night we met. I am sure it was a reflection of a lifetime lived in God's grace.
