I am so sorry for your lost. My heart is aching right now, because I just find out and I adored Cole. I only knew him for a short time, as I was his real estate agent and helped him purchase his first home. He worked so hard to make that dream come true for him and his baby girl and he did it. I was so proud of him because he was so young and knew exactly what he wanted and he didn't let anything get in the way of making that a reality. He really wanted that home for his baby girl and that's what he talked about the most. He was so proud of her and wanted everything to be right for her. My prayer is that she knows just how much she was loved by her dad and all he went through for her.
May God Bless and Keep You All.

A ready smile, fine worker, all around likeable student. He probably made B's or A's in my class. To the Mother, Father, Marcus Brown, and Kelly. I have decided to change the the GRADING SYSTEM, FROM THIS DAY FORWARD(IN SOME CASES, THINKING OF HIM).
IT WILL BE:

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT,SIMPLY TOO HIGH TO MEASURE.

WHEN I USE THIS CATAGORY OF GRADING,NOTING ALL THOSE INTANGIBLE THINGS, I WILL THINK OF HIM.

"Cole was a wonderful person who was always smiling. We often spoke about his daughter and nothing made him happier than to be with her. Even though I only knew him a short time, he will forever be in my thoughts. I will always remember our pre final outing, that memory of you will stay with me forever. I met Cole while in MOS school, we were in the same class and became very close!!!! Even when we departed ways, we always stayed in touch!!!! I was so shocked when I learned of his accident.... he was an intelligent, driven, and loving man. I know how much he loved his daughter and it's very sad that she will never get to know the wonderful father that God blessed her with. As for Cole's mom, Sherry I cannot even begin to imagine your pain. I lost my mother at the age of 15 and that was a very hard time in my life and the biggest loss I've had to endure. There are no words anyone can say to make your pain go away. Only time and leaning on God for
strength will help you continue
on; you have a daughter and
granddaughter that need you. I can't tell you that you'll stop missing him but it gets better I promise. I pray that God has him in his glory and that he's resting in peace. And know this, he always talked about what a wonderful and amazing mother you were. He loved you very much. You raised a fine young man who could win anyone over with his smile and caring personality!!! God Bless you and your family. We will never truly understand the ways of the Lord but he always has a plan in our lives greater than the ones we have for ourselves... P. S. I already miss you Cole and you'll always remain in my heart and memories... R.I.P. I love you!!!

John 14:27-29
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe.

Love,
Liza Skinkis

Tonight at the beginning of class we were informed of Cole's passing, we all are in shock tonight... I have been a classmate of Cole's for the last 23 weeks through Economist and now American Philosphy, we have been study and lab partners several times and shared a common denominator of being former Marines. Class tonight was full of melancholy and emptiness with Cole's absence.
I miss him, he was my friend....

To the Entire Brown and Boyce Families:

We were deeply devastated to hear about Cole's accident. Our hearts are heavy in sorrow for your post precious loss.

We loved Cole and were proud to have him in our family. He was a blessing to all who knew him. We remember many a holiday-from Easter egg hunts to singing Christmas carols (even if we were all off key!) and exchanging gifts, sharing meals.
We shared laughs, love and many memories that we will cherish forever.

Heaven is a better place now. We are sure Nanie, Timmy and Jake were all there to greet him with open arms. There are no adequate words of comfort that can express to you how badly we feel and we know his passing leaves an unbearable heartache that no one can heal. Please know we are thinking of you and praying for you. We pray that God gives you the strength you need to get beyond the sorrow that you feel today and He brings you comfort and peace for all your days ahead.

We are proud beyond belief that he served our country and protected our freedom. His legacy will live on through Magnolia and in the hearts of all who were honored to know him.

We send this with love and faith.

Hi Sherry and Kelly...I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember the many times, Sherry, that you talked about Cole, the many times that you beamed with pride as you spoke of him. It takes only a few seconds, when reading the words of others that have known Cole in recent years, to get a sense of the character of your son, and how respected, well thought-of, and loved he is by all that have known him. Kelly, I think of you as well, and know the incredible sadness that you feel. My thoughts, prayers, and positive energy are with you and your Mom at this time. It WILL be better. Celebrate Cole's life and the positive impact he made on this world, as, by all accounts, it was a great one...

Sherry,
I am so deeply sorry to hear the tragic news about Cole. My heart goes out to you for your precious loss. I too, understand the unbearable pain of losing a son. The overwhelming emotions! It's as if you have lost a part of yourself! But, remembering all the wonderful times you shared with Cole can help to comfort you in the days ahead. And most of all, may the God of Love sustain you with His promise of Hope for the future. When He will soon end all suffering on the earth! How do we know this is no dream, because what He promises always comes to be.

"He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. And the One seated on the throne said; "Look! I am making all things NEW....faithful and true these words are."

Brown Family,
My prayers are raining down on your family! Cole and I served in California as well as Iraq together and I will miss him dearly. Although I cannot imagine the overwhelming emotions that must be taking place inside your hearts right now but I do now that a deep respect and love for Cole will always be in mine. Now a few words for Cole...

COLE BROWN.... I miss you already buddy. Your standout smile and subtle words of encouragement brought a light to the darkness in Iraq in 2008. These small things that you brought to the table over there helped push me forward in our journey and ultimately brought me back to California safely. It was a pleasure to have served with you for 4 years and I cant wait to stand beside you for eternity when we meet again! Tell the Big Guy I said Hello! SEMPER FIDELIS BROTHER!

Sherry, I didn't know Cole that well, however, in the brief time he was with our restaurant, I was impressed with his sense of self and his single minded vision for what he wanted. I remembered how disappointed I was when he left Oakwood, and at the same time, happy to see him pursuit his dreams. He made a difference and left a lasting impression on all of us. My heart-felt condolences go out to you and your family.

To Sherry, and all of those who loved Cole,

Words cannot express the sorrow and pain I feel for the loss of such an incredible human being. When I met Cole I was amazed at his intelligence, experience and most of all his gentle caring nature. He was not only a Soldier who protected our freedom on one hand he was a loving Daddy to beautiful Magnolia, and a great son to a wonderful mother.

I imagine there is no pain more far reaching and deeper than losing a child.

I feel lucky to have had the chance to know Cole and will remember and celebrate his life and aspire to have the grace and integrity that Cole possessed!

My he rest in peace and remain in our hearts forever!
