So sorry to hear about your dad, my uncle, passing. I am the seventh child of his oldest brother, John E. Shields. We are five living children (four deceased) of John & Mary Shields
living around the Boston area.

My father died, as he lived, on his own terms. He made light of the struggle he was facing and showed his determination and independence to the end. I can appreciate what it took for him to let me help in his final weeks, I know it went against his nature. I loved him and will miss him!
