ELEANOR TARANTINO Eleanor Tarantino, 82, of Greenacres, FL died on May 25, 2011 after a long illness. She was born April 8, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Parrinello. Eleanor married Nicholas Tarantino December 9, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY and moved here from Bethpage, NY in 1984. Eleanor was a great cook and seamstress. She loved to play bingo and sometimes the slot machines. She was always meticulous about her appearance and very fashionable. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Nicholas Tarantino; sons, Mike (Carol) Tarantino of Wellington, FL, and Nicholas (Vanessa) Tarantino of Bethpage, NY; and daughter, Vicki (Tim) McCarthy of Colorado Springs, CO. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters, Angela Vice, Grace (Tony) Tivoli; brother, James (Rosemary) Parrinello; and sister-in-law, Frances Tarantino; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Bowerman, Timothy McCarthy, Michael Tarantino, Jr., Matthew Tarantino, Anthony Tarantino, Jessica Tarantino; and great-granddaughter, Mia Sophia Bowerman. Visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM, and on Thursday, June 2, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 3, at 10:30 AM at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Wellington, FL, followed by entombment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery. Dear Nick and Family,
We were so sorry to hear about Eleanor. We remember so many wonderful times at St. Rita's festivities. This is a sad time for all of you and we are so sorry for your lost. Eleanor was a wonderful person and will be missed. Our prayers and love are sent to you all.

Dearest Mike, Carol, Matthew and Michael,
Please accept our sincere condolences and prayers for your loss. We know this is a difficult time for you, but just know that if you need to talk or get away for a while, we're here...4 hours to the North of you. Mom was a wonderful and devoted woman - to her family and to God. Praise God for that, and know she is with HIM.
