Horatio Castle Obituary
West Palm Beach - Horatio Castle, 81, of West Palm Beach, went to be with Jesus on March 27, 2021 with loved ones by his side. Horatio was born in Belgrade, Maine, the son of Leighton L and Cora A (Mills).
Horatio's beloved son, Russell Castle, passed away at 48 years of age on April 11, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Valerie, daughter Victoria Castle, sister Mary Jean Galloway, nephew and niece Larry and Suzanne Castle, and grandsons, Adam Castle, Grant Castle, Tyler Stack and Cody Stack.
Horatio will always be close to us, as love is as strong as death. Though we grieve for what we lost, we smile for what we had, which was rich in love and companionship. He leaves us with a terrible emptiness in our hearts and also the feeling of honor of having known and been close to such a kind, exceptional and decent human being.
A celebration of life will be held at West Pines Baptist Church, 4906 Melaleuca Lane, Greenacres, FL 33463 on April 10th @ 4:00 PM. A celebration of life in Maine will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Union Church of Belgrade Lakes (United Methodist Church), c/o Cathy Girard, 62 Main St., Belgrade Lakes, ME 04918.
