IDA BELL HOOKS Mrs. Ida Bell Hooks, age 93, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on March 19, 2008 at the home of her granddaughter, Janice Bates Murray in St. Augustine, FL. Born in Eufala, AL on August 11, 1914 to Deacon Willie L. Lawson and Evalena Lassiter Lawson. Ida Bell moved to Florida where she married and raised two daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Hooks, daughters, Doris Hooks Brown, Connie Hooks Collins and granddaughter, Michele Brown Davis. Ida is survived by: six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday March 28, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Shuler's Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be Saturday March 29, 2008, 2 PM at Friendship Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial.
