Linda Knapp MURPHY

1943 - 2018

Linda Knapp Murphy, 74, a longtime resident of Lake Clarke Shores, Florida, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on February 27, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years William H. Murphy, Jr., daughter Erin Murphy Junker (Shaun), granddaughter Callie B. Junker. She was preceded in death by her parents Verna Knapp Largey, Eugene Knapp and son William H. Murphy III. Linda was born July 1, 1943 in Maysville, Kentucky and moved to West Palm Beach with her parents in 1946, where they built their family home and her father owned Knapp Radio and Television. She attended Forest Hill High School and was the first graduating class in 1961. Linda was a member of the Scuderia Veloce sports car club where she met her husband 1967. She worked as loan officer at Security Exchange Bank which later became Flagship Bank. After having her children she became the warehouse distribution Manager for Bellsouth telephone books for south east Florida. She then retired in 2009 from Professional Medical Insurance services as an account manager. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a very loyal and true friend. She would do anything she could for those that she cared about. She loved garage sales every weekend and then go to Dunkin Donuts. She had a wonderful sense of humor and she will be missed by so many. Friday March 9, 2018 friends may visit with family from 4:00PM to 8:00PM with a short service starting at 6:00PM at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL, CREMATION & EVENT CENTER, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday March 10, 2018 at Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 N Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462. A Celebration of Life will be held 12 Noon on Saturday March 10, 2018 at the Lake Worth Beach Club, One 7th Ave North, Lake Worth, Florida 33460.
