Richard Bell Obituary

Family-Placed Funeral Notice

RICHARD JOSEPH BELL Passed away after a lifelong battle with diabetes. He was a resident of Juno Beach, FL, at the time of his passing. Born in Manchester, CT, in 1947, he was the son of the late Joseph Thomas Bell and Laura Coscina Bell. He graduated Central Connecticut State University in 1972 with a B.S. in Business Administration. Rich was known for the deep love he had for his family and friends, his caring nature, his concern for others and his terrific sense of humor. All-important to Richard was his love of music. He was a drummer who grew up listening to and playing jazz and blues in local music scenes. A memorial service will be held at Unitarian Society of Hartford, 50 Bloomfield Avenue, Hartford, CT, on Saturday, September 17, at 11AM, with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 120 Wall Street, 19th fl., New York, NY 10005 (www.jdf.org).

My condolences to the Bell family. I attended Manchester High with Richie and remember his humor well. I have lived in Juno Beach for the past nine years and wished I knew he was in the same "paradise". My thoughts are prayers are with you.

Sincerely,
