Bob was my cousin. We spent some really good times together far and in few between. He fed me my first lobster and mahi.

I can never think of the "right" thing to say at times like these, so I'll say this: When I think of Bob, he was always smiling. Even the day I walked into his hospital room after his knee replacement surgery, he was smiling. And his smile always brought a smile to my own face. Based on the pictures here, I think he must have been smiling until the very end, and now he smiles down upon us all. Even though I haven't seen my friends in quite a long time, I think of both of you, Bob and Diane, often. And you always make me smile!

Such a cool, positive, happy go lucky, hard working, and all around great guy. Everyone loved Bob. When bad things happen to great people it doesn't make sense. I hope you are in a beautiful place free of pain. I'm sure you must be. Anyone who knew you was lucky!

One of the most fortunate things to come out of my time at the University of Rhode Island was meeting Bob. Even back then his nickname was Captain and he steered his own special course through life. I was fortunate enough to be part of the experience for several years: classmate, drinking buddy, but most importantly friend. Later in my life I was honored by his agreeing to be best man at my wedding. While we somewhat drifted apart over the years and the number of miles that ended up separating us, I always considered him to be my best friend. The Captain now sails a different sea but hopefully one day our paths will again intersect.

Bob- you are missed daily. Every day at work I can just imagine you being there and laughing with you. I also often ask myself what would Bob do? I am a better person because of having you in my life. It isnt often you meet people who have such an impact and I consider myself very lucky. I'll never forget our trips to the Boston seafood show, such fun times! Miss you so much!

Some people are enthusiastic almost always; you are one of those. Whether struggling to get in the dinghy, or up the ladder from the water, or just moving around - I knew you were in pain, but you didn't show it or complain. Just being in the moment and enjoying those of us around you. Thanks for being you, Bob. Love you.

Sooo many years of friendship we shared! How fortunate for me to have had a friend like you who faced life's challenges with an attitude of acceptance and grace. I always felt welcomed and loved by you, dear Bob. Your laughter and joy in the company of friends and family will be what I see and hear whenever I think of you. Love you Bob
