Roger Bryan RANKIN

Roger Bryan Rankin, 75, passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 25, 2018 in Tequesta, FL. Roger was a very kind, generous, and loving man who always encouraged others to follow their passions. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend anyone could have asked for and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Roger was originally from Akron, OH but raised in Miami, FL where he began his career in the car stereo business. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1980 with his two children and then wife, Jean. He was an entrepreneur at heart and had a variety of business ventures. Roger was a dedicated, supportive, and caring father to his children. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Rankin, with whom he spent the past 25 years of his life. Roger and Diane enjoyed spending time between Florida and Colorado. It was always their dream to blend their special families together and make lasting memories with their children and eight grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing golf and was a lifelong fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Denver Broncos. Affectionately, Roger is remembered by his daughter Jeannie (Rick) Coolidge of Florida; son Kenneth Rankin of Colorado Springs; his bonus children Kevin King and Kimberly (Jamey) Arnold; and grandchildren Melissa, Allison, Ryan, Ashley, McKenzie, Colton, Clayton, and Caden. He is also survived by his brother Dale Rankin (Becky), and sisters Judy Langhals, Patty Colby, Diane Butler; and numerous other relatives he dearly loved. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 5 at 11:00AM at Christ Fellowship Chapel, 5312 Northlake Blvd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418 with a Graveside Service to follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Road, Tequesta, FL.
