Family-Placed Funeral Notice

WANDA WENNING WEGENER Of Delray Beach, FL passed away on July 9, 2006. Wanda was born in Ashland, KY on December 22nd 1927, the oldest of 5 children. Her brothers Waldo Wenning and E. Richard Wenning preceded her in death. She married George D. Wegener on July 5, 1952. They moved to Delray Beach, Florida in 1954. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL and taught Biology and Chemistry at Seacrest High School in Delray Beach, FL. She also taught kindergarten at Lakeview Baptist Church, where she is a member. She devoted her life to being a loving wife and mother. She always had a kind word, a warm smile, and enjoyed sharing her love of Jesus with others. We look forward to spending eternity with her in heaven. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, George; daughter Sally (Richard) Bloomquist of Orlando, FL; daughter Linda (Bill) Cochrane of Atlanta, GA; grandson Rick Bloomquist; granddaughter Beth Bloomquist; brother Sunny (Rita) Wenning of Nashville, TN; and sister Priscilla Jean (Butch) Collins of Flatwoods, KY. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 from 10AM to 11 AM with a 11AM funeral service at the Lakeview Baptist Church, 2599 North Swinton Ave, Delray Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407 or the Alzheimer's Association, 4700 N. Congress Ave. Suite 101, West palm Beach, FL 33407 LORNE & SONS FUNERAL HOME, Delray Beach, FL in charge of arrnagements.
