Mark Ludington Obituary

Mark D Ludington

January 17, 1967 - February 7, 2025

Mark Daniel Ludington of Bloomington, IL passed away in the early morning hours on February 7, 2025.

He was born January 17, 1967 to Ralph Sr & Evelyn (Fisher) Ludington in Monmouth, IL. He is survived by his children, Luke Ludington of Bloomington, and Jamie Ludington of Pontiac, and his three granddaughters, Nara, Evelyn and Adalyn.

Also surviving are his siblings, LuAnn Brakeville, Mary (Paul) Carolan, Susan Phillips, Stephanie Knoedler, Cindy McNeely, Scott (Nichol) Ludington, Ronald (Leslie) Ludington Sr and Amanda (Jon) Williams, his stepmother, Becky Ludington, foster parents, Larry and Jan Brinkman, in-laws Katrina Ludington Harris and Ron Tutwiler, 23 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and great nephews and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Ludington Sr and Evelyn Meade, his brothers Ralph Jr and Chaz Ludington, his sister Valerie Tutwiler, two brothers-in-law, Neal McNeely and Jim Brakeville Sr and a special nephew Nicholas Ferguson.

Mark attended schools in Flanagan, IL and Stronghurst, IL. He spent the majority of his adult life in carpentry, just recently retiring. He enjoyed it very much. Spending time with his granddaughters was the highlight and joy in his life. He loved his family very much and they loved him right back. He could always be found with a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eyes and was always willing to step in and lend a helping hand for anyone that needed him. Some of his favorite things were going to karaoke, spending time with his friends, the St Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Mark will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Go Chiefs!!
