Albert Gordon Sims, 74, passed away on December 16, 2012 in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 28, 1938 in Gregg County, Texas to Virgil and Lucille Sims. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Addie Sims, step-daughter, Barbara Starke, 4 brothers, Willie Virgie, Eddie and Gene Sims, 1 sister, Linda Tanner, brother-in-law, Jimmie Tanner, Sister-in-law, Ann Sims and 2 grandchildren, Eddie and John Williams. He is survived by brothers, Steve and Debbie Sims of Smithville, TX and Charles Sims of Pasadena, TX; sister, Wanda and Billy Smith of Pasadena, TX; sisters-in-law, Martha Sims of Highlands, TX and Laura Sims of Pasadena, TX, grand-children, Donnie Williams and Debbie Crader; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Albert was part of the Carpenters Union 213, he loved fishing, dancing, going to the beach and loved to roller skate as a teen. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held on January 5, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared at www.grandviewfunerals.com
