Anthony James Otterblad went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on August 11th 2013 at 2:00 p.m. after a long battle with ALS. He was born on June 13th 1952 in Rochester, MN. Anthony was a graduate of Stillwater High School in Stillwater MN. He proudly served in the United States Navy for over 6 years, primarily aboard the nuclear submarine the USS Nautilus. Anthony is preceded in death by his mother Marie Ellen Otterblad and his father Robert Leonard Otterblad. He is survived by his sisters Roberta Duckworth and Eleanor Wilhite, two nieces, Trisha Neuman and Faith Duckworth and four nephews, Timothy Stivender,Wyman, Michael and Robert Wilhite. Anthony was a long time resident of Pasadena Texas. He was a loving brother and uncle who placed family first, a friend who would give all when called upon and a patriot with an undying love for his country. An honorable man in less than honorable times, a rare combination you could say. He was not fashionable with his views... just honest. You will be missed. Graveside Services will be Friday, August 16, 2013 at 10:30AM at the Houston National Cemetery at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston 77038.

"Hey Sports Fans" I would hear that as soon as you entered the door. And it was so much more special because you really didn't like football, but it grew on you because it brought you closer to Roberta and I. But that was you. Giving of yourself for others. Outspoken...yes. Opinionated...Oh yes! But that is what I loved about you. I will miss our movie times and long talks. You are one of a kind Brother and I will always remember you and treasure our friendship. I love you Tony.

My Brother, from a young age you were always my hero and as I got older and you joined the service to serve and protect all who live in this country , you really became a hero in my eyes..When you told me you had ALS I was scared for you and as I shared your fight daily I was not afraid but awed by how strong you were and how you fought back no matter what that disease threw at you all the way to the end...I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond...Keep a place at your side for me in heaven..Love your sister Roberta
