Ashley " Ash" Boysen Gamble has gone to heaven, and she is dearly loved and sadly missed. Ashley was a loving wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend. Ashley was born on May 24, 1983 to proud parents, Steve and Rhonda Boysen. She was raised in LaPorte, Texas. Ashley was a passionate, intensely individualistic, beautiful, vibrant, colorful, energetic and full of life human being. Her smile could light up a room. She was a natural on stage and was active in community theatre through the Art Park Players throughout her life. She was also involved in the LaPorte Schools and was a proud member of the Chatos Dance Team. She loved jogging and long walks with their great dane, Smalls.
She is survived by her husband Kyle Gamble and her parents Steve and Rhonda Boysen. Ashley is further survived by brother Steve Boysen, Jr. and brother-in-law Kent Parham and grandmothers, Cleda Thomas and Olivia Boysen. Left to mourn are also mother-in-law and father - in-law, Ken and Darlene Bays and sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Tammy and Kent Dowdy, Tim and Stacy Gamble, Taryn and Jason Netek and Tiffany and Jonathan Neal and their families. Also aunts, uncles, cousins, loving family relatives and friends. Ashley will be terribly missed by her great dane, Smalls. She will be forever in our hearts.
Visitation was held Tuesday Evening, April 2, 2013 from 5 - 7 PM at Rosewood Funeral Home 3939 Pasadena Blvd. Services for Ashley were held on April 3, 2013 Wednesday at 2 PM also at Rosewood Funeral Home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.rosewood.cc under current services.

Aunt Rhonda, Uncle Steve, and Steve Jr.,
I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, vibrant, and loving cousin as Ashley. I'm so very sorry for the enormous loss of your beloved daughter and sister. We are all going to miss her terribly and will never forget the special person she was. This is just the end on this earth, but it is definitely not "the end". We are all eventually going to the same place and I'm sure she will be there waiting to greet us with her big beautiful smile. I love you all very much.
Love Always,
Amber Mickle

Dear Rhonda and family,
I'm sorry to hear about your daughter Ashley,seeing that you were immensely close to her. As your friend I have to say upon hearing about her death,I was upset to discover that she left all of those who knew and loved her, much too soon.
I am sure that where she is that she is not only safe and sound, but looking out for you just like she always did. Take comfort in knowing that she is with us in spirit now, ever present and watchful.
May God bless you and your family and give you endurance during this time.
Much love and heartfelt wishes,

(below is a poem I hope brings some comfort)
To My Dearest Family
(Author Unknown)
To my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know,
that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from the Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above.
Here there's no more tears of sadness.
Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you
every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you
when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me
and He said, "I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again,
you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family,
They'll be here later on."
God gave me a list of things,
that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list,
was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night
the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you...
in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth,
and all those loving years,
because you are only human,
they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry
it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers,
unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you
all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you,
you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain,
though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now,
than I ever was before.
There are rocky roads ahead of you
and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it
by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy
and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world,
the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody
who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night...
"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented...
that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along
I made somebody smile.
God says: "If you meet somebody
who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up,
as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street
with me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps
only half a step behind."
"And when it's time for you to go...
from that body to be free.
Remember you're not going...
you're coming here to me."
