Barbara Chambers Obituary

Barbara F Chambers 81yrs old from Deer Park, TX passed away April 1st, 2017.

She was born in Avant Oklahoma Jan 24th 1936. She and her family moved to Deer Park, Tx in 1964. She was a Bank Teller at LaPorte State Bank until 1969. Then she went to work at Allied 1st Deer Park Bank. In 1980 she went to work at The Pasadena Post Office where she was president of The American Postal Workers union for 10 Yrs. She won many cases in back pay for the union workers. She retired in 2003 and enjoyed Garage Sales, Gambling and Traveling. If by chance you ever got to meet Bobbie you never forgot her, she was a person that got things done, a Leader! She is preceded in death by her father Harvey McCoy, mother Clara Siler, sisters Joye Powell, Thaisa Myers, son Edwin Chambers and Ex-husband Bud Chambers.

She is survived by her Daughter Robie Chambers, nieces Pam Bunch from Arkansas, Terry and Vikki James of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Visitation were held Friday, April 7, 2017 10:00AM to 12:00PM with the Funeral at 12:00PM at Grand View Funeral Home located at 8501 Spencer Hwy Pasadena, Texas. The burial will follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
