Beverly Ann Sturm, 64 of Deer Park, Texas passed peacefully on July 4, 2014 with her family at her side. Life's journey was done. But what an Independence Day it was for her, released from her pain to her heavenly Father. Beverly was born on October 12, 1949 in Monahans, Texas to Cecil and Tommie Bass. She is predeceased by her mother, Tommie.
Beverly is survived by her adoring husband of 45 years, Dan Sturm and her son, Dan W. Sturm and his wife Lara. Beverly leaves behind her grandchildren, " the Apples of her Eye", Nathan Sturm, who is currently serving in the Army stationed in Germany, and Katie Rose Sturm. Left to mourn will also be Beverly's brother, Tom Bass and wife Kathy and a niece, Amber Layne Patterson. Beverly was a collector of friends, and kept them for life, and she leaves behind her "Beyond Beaute and Spa family" and too many friends to name.
Beverly was a unique woman. She was full of life, had the will of a giant, was always ready with a smile and word of optimism. She retired from the retail spa service industry after years in the business. Her finest hour, friends say, came with the courage and dignity that characterized her life following her diagnosis with cancer.
We will celebrate Beverly's life in a service on Friday July 25, 2014 at 3 o'clock in the afternoon at Rosewood Funeral Home 3939 Pasadena Blvd. Visitation following the service 4 - 5 o'clock.
In lieu of usual remembrances, Beverly request donations to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center to aide in research to someday end this horrible disease.
