Mrs. Harper: I wanted to express my sincere sympathy in the loss of your lifelong companion, Mr. Harper. He was a fine man, and I am glad that I got to know him the little that I did. I pray that you receive God's comfort in the days ahead, which will be the hardest. May God bless you and your family and give you peace. Praise God that we have the hope of seeing our loved ones again when this life is over.

Verna and family,
It is with great sympathy that I lament your loss. The few times I met Bob, he was so gracious. I saw in this man the love he had for his family in the way he treated you, Verna. His gorgeous white hair and those beautiful blue eyes said much of who he really was.. Through knowing you in the beauty shop, I attended family functions where I got to know the family, the family that Bob started with you Verna. I enjoyed those time more than you'll ever know.
May God, time and love heal your hearts of your loss.
Sincerely
Jenna Lobb

Verna, Terry, Debi, and family,
With a heavy heart we were so sad to hear the news of Bob's passing, but we give thanks to God for allowing Bob to be our lives for all these years and we take great comfort in knowing that God promises us “He goes to prepare a place for us with many rooms for our families. I take great joy in knowing Bob is there with our other family members. Bob was not only my first cousin he was a mentor to me and my family especially when I worked at JC Penney's in Tyler about forty years ago. On trips to Tyler to visit with us, he took time to come to the store and always wanted to take another tour to see our operations and offer suggestions that would help me. I'll never forget his thoughtfulness, all of the family reunions, fun, memories, fellowship, his humor and Bob taking my money playing cards.
We are praying for all of you that God will give you strength and comfort during this time, and always know that we are here for you as your family.
God's speed,
John & Cindy Harper

My most precious childhood memories revolve around Bob and his family. He was a genuine and kind man. He made the most mundane action an adventure and indeed put the comfort of others before himself. He was an energetic young man that I believe was the youngest person to ever become a JC Penney manager at the time. He was driven but enjoyed the simplest things in life. He was a great friend and uncle, and his passing leaves a whole in the world. A kind heart and truly unique man. May his family find some comfort in their memories and knowing that he was loved and admired by so many.
