Carol Jean Libby, 83, passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on August 15, 2014.
He was class President of Alvin High school 1949, and was Class of 1953 at Texas A&M University where he ran varsity track. Carol Jean was a member of First United Methodist Church Pasadena and sang in the choir for 53 years. He was a member of the Bay Area A&M Club, Pasadena Rotary, Pasadena Philharmonic Society and played tennis at Strawberry Park with his tennis friends. He was a licensed architect at Randall-Porterfield Architects in League City, Texas.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Marion Libby; by his daughters,Carol Libby Kight, Patricia Libby Grell, Marilyn Rhae Shores and husband David Shores; grandsons, Ryan David Shores and Kyle Ray Shores; brother, Gilbert Francis Libby, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2014 at Rosewood Funeral Home, 3939 Pasadena Blvd., Pasadena, Texas 77503. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at First United Methodist Church of Pasadena, 1062 Fairmont Pkwy., Pasadena, Texas 77504, and interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

Daddy I miss you so much already. You were the most fun, caring, encouraging, courageous dad a daughter could ever have. I was blessed to care for you those last few months of your life.
