My prayers to the family. I have fond memories of Chas and the fun we had at Taylor Hall dances. A bunch of us would sit outside and talk and laugh about the times we had at PHS. He will be missed, by many I'm sure

I met Chas back in the late 60's when he would come into Longhorn Pawn Shop and talk to a fellow co-worker of mine. Chas always had the most interesting stories to tell about growing up in the fifties. He told me about his times at the Balinese Room in Galveston and his stories so intrigued me that I made a visit to the Balinese, and I used the Balinese as the location for my last fiction book. He was always a gentle giant and I am sorry for his family's loss. He was a class guy.
