Claudine Francis Rhoads Locklear, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ on Wednesday September 19, 2012.
Even though she will be missed, we know she is in a better place, and we will see her again. We love her dearly and Heaven now has another wonderful angel.
Claudine was born October 5, 1927 in Pendleton, Texas and is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Frank Rhoads and Vergie Gladys Morgan Smith Rhoads along with two brothers, Alton William Smith, twin Claude Frank Rhoads, Jr., and sister, Faye Jewell Smith Wilson.
Claudine is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-five years, J.W. Locklear, sister Vergie Nell Arnette; sister-in-law, Pat Rhoads; sons Johnny Wayne Locklear and wife Babs of Deer Park, Tx.; Jimmy Gayle Locklear and wife Melodye of Dallas, Tx.; Danny Jake Locklear and wife Jill of Farmers Branch, Tx.; Teddy Doak Locklear of Deer Park, Tx.; and daughter, Janice Faye Locklear Hurst and husband Don of Deer Park, Tx.

Claudine graduated from Belton High School on May 23, 1942. She graduated from Chicago Beauty School in Waco, Texas on March 15, 1947. She loved her family and dedicated her life to being a great housewife, mother, and grandmother. She led a Christian life and was a role model for her family and friends. She inspired those around her to love and treat others with respect.
Her husband and children were her joy. She was active with all five children throughout their school years in P.T.A., as a Cub Scout Den Leader, and with her support of the Little League baseball teams that her husband coached. As her children became adults, she continued to coach them through each of their life's joys and sorrows. Most of all she loved her husband and said those words every night to him until her departure to Heaven.
Married to J.W. Locklear on August 30, 1947 at the First Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA., they were truly partners in marriage, family and life.
