Frances Louise Reece Tichenor, 76, of Deer Park met her Lord, Thursday, August 23, 2012 with her family at her side. Frances was born in Eureka Spring, Arkansas, March 25, 1936 in a motel. The family moved to Denison, Texas where Frances completed the 7th grade, they moved to Pasadena, Texas where she graduated from Pasadena High School in 1954. This is where in her junior year she met Gary, from Arthurdale, West Virginia. They married in 1954 and celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on August 13th. Frances worked for several doctors in Pasadena until she became an RN in 1992 where she spent many hours working at Herman Hospital in the Houston Medical Center. Frances is survived by her husband, Gary Tichenor; daughters, Gwyn Laird, Cheryl Hiser McCorry and husband Keith; son, Paul Tichenor; 5 grandchildren of Deer Park and San Antonio; and 11 great-grandchildren. What a shock to find that my close friend grades 7-10 had left this world to go to her most glorious reward. She certainly is with the others saved by Grace. I am so sad that I just found out about her passing.

We are saddened to learn of Frances' passing away. She was one of our PHS Classmates who graduated with the Class of 1954. She and Gary Tichenor have been good friends for almost 60 years and she will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Tichenor and Reece families and close friends. God bless them at this time of great loss and sorrow. R.I.P. Frances...

Frances will greatly be missed, all of us who graduated with Frances at PHS 1954. At the reunions we have had in the pass Frances would tell me whenever I sent out e-mail Gary would always say got another one from TJ. Frances always had a kind word to say about everybody.
May God watch over you Gary and your family?
God Bless,

I am shocked and dismayed. Frances was one of my nearest and dearest friends throughout high school and beyond. Memories of fun times at Pasadena High invariably include Frances. My thoughts and prayers are with Gary and all her family. I will love her always.
