Gary Roane Masterson, 61, loving husband, father, and grandfather was born September 2, 1952, and passed away on October 25, 2013, at his home in Deer Park, Texas.
He graduated from Deer Park High School in 1971 and enlisted in the Navy. He served in the Submarine service until 1979. Following the Navy he received his Associate of Technology from San Jacinto College while working at ExxonMobil. He retired from ExxonMobil in 2007. Gary's true love was being with his family and friends. His passions included new technology, music, traveling, and watching soccer.
He was preceded in death by his father, A.R. Masterson and brother, Larry Masterson.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Reno Masterson, daughter and son-in-law, Alyssa Masterson Holdren and Ethan Holdren of Spring, Texas, son, Jeremiah Masterson of Plano, Texas; grandchildren Ian Masterson, Ashton Holdren, and Ava Holdren of Spring, Texas; brother Dudley Masterson and sister Mari Ann McCaffrey of Deer Park, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Rosewood Funeral Home, Pasdena, Texas, and Graveside Service was held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
