Very sorry to hear about John passing away. His first job out of college was as an engineer on the conversion of USS Saipan CVL 48 to USS Arlington AGMR-2 at a shipyard in Mobile. He was a source of very much valuable information for us. He attended many reunions of the USS Saipan CVL 48 Association and was our featured speaker once. Much of what happened during the conversion would have been lost to history except for him He provided us with many photos and stuff that was invaluable to our Association

Deepest condolences to the family and friends during this most difficult time. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so beloved. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is in God's memory because those who pass on "are precious in His eyes." Psalms 116:15

Lois, We were so saddened to learn of John's passing. Very recently, I was thinking about you two and wondered how and where you are. Some day when I come to Deer Park to see Marty I'll try to find you and maybe we can get together to reminisce a little. We are so sorry for your loss but please know you and John are in our prayers.
