Lester Johnson Obituary
Les was born June 8,1936 in Louisville, Illinois, to William and Evelyn Johnson.
He was raised in East Alton, Illinois.
He joined the U.S. Air Force after graduating from East Alton Wood River High School in 1954.
Les was stationed in San Antonio, TX, Biloxi, MS, Guam, and Roswell, MN.
While stationed in Roswell he was assigned to the 6th A & E and married the former Vernda Riley of Alton.
After discharge he and his wife returned to the Alton area, and he went to work for McDonnell Douglas. In 1970 Les & his family moved to Nagoya, Japan, to aid in the company's partnership with Mitsubishi Aircraft.
In 1975 Les's career took him & his family to Houston, TX, to assist in McDonnell's role in NASA's International Space Station.
Les is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vernda; daughters, Diana (Bob) Jarman and Jullie (Steve) Johnson; as well as 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

I believe Lester was my neighbor many years ago. Did he have a brother, named Sterling? Anyway I am trying to find out where Lester is buried. Would you please let me know.
