Priscilla Harding Jessee Vick

1935 - 2021

Priscilla "Pid" Jessee Vick , was born on June 4, 1935 in McDowell, West Virginia, and passed away peacefully in her sleep, on October 22, 2021, at the age of 86, in Willis, Texas.

Priscilla Harding Jessee grew up a coal miner's daughter in Central Virginia, residing at Skippers Rock Quarry camp. She was the middle child and only daughter of Cummins and Uva Jessee. After graduating high school from Emporia High School in 1953, she relocated to Washington D.C. to work for the Department of the Navy. It was there that she met her one and only, Jerry, a strapping young navy sailor, also stationed in D.C.

After marrying on February 2, 1957, they spent the next twenty years moving all over the United States, as well as overseas, including Yokosuka, Japan where both of their children, Brenda and Larry were born. As they moved through the ranks, and him eventually retiring as a Lt. Commander, in 1976 they decided to make his hometown of Conroe, Texas their permanent residence.

Priscilla fiercely loved her cats, especially all the ones that adopted her throughout the years, she also enjoyed shopping and going to the matinee with her daughter on the weekends, going on annual Las Vegas road trips with her husband and son, and seldom missed her weekly hair appointments.

She was the most loving and loyal wife, the most nurturing and caring mother and grandmother, a kind and generous spirit, and a friend to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Priscilla is proceeded in death by her father, Cummins Browning Jessee, her mother, Uva Puckett Jessee, and brothers, William "Bill" Jessee, and Johnny Jessee. She is survived by her devoted husband and soulmate of over 64 years, Retired U.S. Navy Lt. Commander, Jerry W. Vick, daughter Brenda Vick Williams, son Lawrence "Larry" Vick. As well as her grandchildren, Amy Hargrove Riordan (husband Nick) Katherine Vick Greensage (husband Clint) and Austin Arrington (wife Dani) and 6 precious great grandchildren, Nathan Guardiola, Payten Greensage, Saylor, Cannon and Landry Riordan and Aurie Arrington.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Entombment will follow in Garden Park Mausoleum. The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Olimpia Sacaciu, and her wonderful caretakers, from Olimpia's Senior Care facility, for the love and care they provided to our Princess Priscilla over the last five months.
