Robert Weldon Phillips, 65, died September 17, 2012 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's. He was born on December 11, 1946 to Weldon "Stoney" Phillips and Rosina Lee Phillips. Robert graduated with a Masters Degree from Texas State University, served in the U.S. Army, and was an avid fisherman. He retired from the Texas Water Commission in 1992.
Robert will be sadly missed by his four daughters, Noel Laake, Ginger Truitt, Cathy Starnes, and Sandy Dyson; two sisters, Nina Persohn, and Rae Koehn; grandchildren, Page and Thad Becton and Jacob and Connor Truitt.
A Celebration Gathering was held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, September 22, 2012 in the Nature Garden at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made in Robert's memory to The National Parkinson Foundation.
