Robert J. Stepczyk "Bob", age 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 11, 2015. He was born on February 3, 1934 in Winthrop, MA.
He served in the U.S. Army and worked many years as a safety engineer at Todd Shipyards and Aetna Casualty & Surety where he was a member of American Society of Safety engineers. He enjoyed Ham Radio, call sign W5WVY, and was a member of the Amateur Radio Relay League.
His father, Col. Frank M. Stepczyk and mother, Mary A. Stepczyk, preceded him in death. His loving wife of 55 years, Hattie M. Stepczyk, sons John F. Stepczyk and wife Pam, and David C. Stepczyk and wife Deena survive him. He had 6 grandchildren, Michael Pregeant, Matthew Pregeant, Mellissa Stepczyk, Alec Stepczyk, Evan Stepczyk, and Connor Stepczyk. His brother, Frank Stepczyk and wife Mona, and his sister, Carol Thorpe, also survive him.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, Texas. Visitation began at 11:00am followed by Mass at 12:00. Pallbearers included Alec Stepczyk, Michael Pregeant, Matthew Pregeant, Joe Marek, Frank Marek and Gary Thorpe. Honorary Pallbearers were Evan Stepczyk and Connor Stepczyk. Graveside services will followed with a reception at the parish hall.

Bob was the type of refined person one always remembers. A genuine gentleman.He always had a ready smile and good story.
