Robert "Bob" Yates, 65, of Pasadena, TX passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011. He was born on September 11, 1946 in Grapeland, TX. Bob graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1965 and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1969. He was a member of the Pasadena Fire Department Station #7 for 15 years and a retired instrument designer. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen Yates, son Robert "Bobby" Yates; daughters Kelly Roy and husband Brian and Lisa Moore; grandchildren Daniel, Alyssa, Amanda, Branden, Ryan, Clayton, Trevor and Tori; sister Sybil Sanders; mother-in-law Mary Coyne; brother-in-law Gary Steed and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Lee Roy and Zelma Yates, sisters Marilyn Day and Kathy Steed; brother-in-law Richard Sanders. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14th, 1 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038
