Ruth Schaefer Obituary
Ruth Schaefer, 92, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on February 11, 2016.
She was born on October 5, 1923 in Henrietta, Texas to Harry and Winnie Harvey. Ruth studied music at Texas Tech. She worked on aircraft generators at Lubbock Air Base during WW II. She married Elton Schaefer and was the wife of a farmer for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Earth, Texas and Trinity Baptist Church of Pasadena. She played the piano for the services at both of the churches.
Ruth loved to cook and loved being a mother to her son. Everybody that she ever met, even her friends at the Waterford, has called her the sweetest lady they had ever met. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elton Schaefer; grandchild, Tara K. Schaefer; brother, James Harvey; and brother in law, Gordon Rogers.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Schaefer and wife Lyndal and her sister Jo Ann Rogers.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will start at 1:00pm with Interment to follow at Grand View Memorial Park.

Ruth was a wonderful neighbor. Now she is playing the piano for all the angels in heaven. I can just imagine the smile on her face when she saw her loved ones.
