Ruth Smith Obituary
A funeral service is planned for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home with interment to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burnet, Texas. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday just prior to the start of the service.
Ruth was born on April 17, 1934 to Orville B. and Frankie Rowney Clark in Burnet, Texas.
She was a graduate of Burnet High School with the Class of 1951. She was a member of the Deerbrook Church of Christ. She loved singing, cooking, sewing, and playing games, especially Yahtzee. Ruth also enjoyed traveling on cruises and other new, exciting adventures.
She is preceded in death by her son, Bobby M. Smith and her daughter, Ruth Marie Smith as well as her brothers and sisters, William "Bill" Clark, Linn Clark, Orville Franklin Clark, Marjorie Oehler, Elsa Jo Kading, Daisy Wolfe, Leona Williamson.
She is survived by; sons, Edwin "Rusty" Smith and his wife Kay, Donald Smith and his wife Michelle; daughter, Catherine Smith Schiffhauer; grandchildren, Robert Smith, Jillian Hammack, Kris Smith, Amanda Smith Haugen, Jonathan Smith, Casey Smith, Cameron Morgan, Jennifer Franke, Kimberly Smith Clack, Traci Smith, Catrina Rodriquez, Amanda Cumpian Nelson, Teasha Schaefer, April Lewis, and Shelly Schiffhauer; twenty four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Arrangements under the care of Jenkins Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St Burnet, Texas 78611.
